Reinstalled vortex. How can I get vortex to detect my mods again?

I had reinstalled Vortex, but still have all of my mods on my PC from the previous installation of it. How can I get Vortex to make use of the mods again? I can't seem to get Vortex to list the mods or do anything with them. It even has the same staging location for the mods that it did before, but won't detect them or do anything. I don't want to reinstall 80+ mods that are already on my PC.

Vortex doesn't "forget" mods during an update/reinstall and it's not possible for Vortex to not see mods in its staging folder.

 

Are you sure you're not filtering the mod list? Are you looking at the right game?

I guess I should give more context; I had reformatted my C drive, while I have all my mods installed on other drives. So when I set Vortex staging to the folder with the mods nothing happened. Do I need to reinstall all the mods?

Okay nevermind, I started Vortex again and now it detected them. It's wierd because earlier I had restarted it and nothing had happened. Thanks for helping, you were pretty much right it just took a bit.

ok i have a similar issue. i had to reinstall windows, which is on a differtent partition. reinstalling steam detected my games blah blah blah. reinstalled vortex but i cant use the previously made staging folder the path. i have 126 mods installed for my skyrim se. what can i do?
