crbn8ed Posted July 19, 2019 Share Posted July 19, 2019 I'm sure I'm not the first to ask about this but I'm getting a dollar sign in my MCM and cannot run any mods. I installed the place everything mod (I think that was the name) and lost my furniture in the settlements so I uninstalled the mod trying to deal with it. I ended up uninstalling all mods and reinstalling the game and when I go into the pause menu I get $MOD_CONFIG and none of my mods work. I was able to get my furniture back by loading an old save but no MCM. I can't find but just a few things online about this most all are related to Skyrim. I looked around some more and it was suggested that I go to steam and verify the game and it should replace the file but that didn’t work. Could it have something to do with with using MO2 vs NMM? crbn8ed Posted July 20, 2019 Author Share Posted July 20, 2019 I haven't got DEF_UI installed. As far as the mods nothing is installed right now except the MCM and AAF while trying to troubleshoot. As far as the mods that I had installed it was all the usual NSFW stuff from loverslab. Kinver Posted August 6, 2019 Share Posted August 6, 2019 I'm gonna piggyback on top of this to say that I'm currently going through a similar. Running a clean install of FO4, verified game cache, Fallout4Custom.ini set up for loose files, installed manually, F4SE up to date and running, attempted using both MO2 and NMM, and also installed the strings linked above. I've been running it with every combination of mods turned on and off, but even with everything off except the MCM it still won't properly display. So far no dice. The configuration menu is still displaying with the dollar signs, though it does seem to be at least somewhat functional and I can see mods listed in it.
