Hello and a very good whatever it is for you..

I have decided, in a fit of absolute madness, to create a Character /Follower and thus have proceded to watch an abundance of films on the youhoo thingy.. I have noticed that what i specifically want to do is almost always, related to CK for Skyrim, not SE but, the original..with external programs made solely for this... so my question is... do i have to download skyrim, once again, the CK that is "married" to this and then proceed ? and if, how the blazes will i then get the Companion/Follower to function, properly, in skyrim SE ?....

Any aid would be greatly appreciated...

Toodles...

Thank you for your reply..

The problem is that i DO plan on using textures and models from various mods, I doggedly followed this tutorial, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcHw4sqrrx8&t=22s and was dumbfounded when the tools she uses were NOT available for SE, that is why I ask if one has to DL and create using the "Oldrim" CK ans then do something more to get the follower into SE...

A lot of Skyrim tutorials are applicable to Skyrim SE as well like RichWebster said. Example, I have used a lot of DarkFox127's tutorials, for my yet to be released player house mod for Skyrim SE. Works just fine.

As long as you install the correct CK for Skyrim SE (through the Bethesda.net app, not Steam), you can follow most tutorials for Skyrim with no problems.

Edit: Textures are usually fine from Skyrim, but the meshes need to be run through SSE Nif Optimizer to be able to be used for Skyrim SE.

I sincerely thank you for the assistance, I shall download the CK from Bethesda once again, the one i was using came from Steam and that might be part of my many problems, I did read somewhere that one could create the follower in the "Oldrim" CK and then proceed to use the optimizer before "resaving" said .Esp in Special Edition.. would that be correct ? as i do have both "Oldrim" and SE on my Gaming Computer It would not be such a bother and I would be able to follow the tutorial I refer to (I do so like Her voice)... would doing so be an idea ???
