Need help with custom hair

Hi, I'm currently trying to make my first mod for Fallout 4, but I'm running into some issues I couldn't find any help for online. I'm an absolute beginner who literally launched the Creation Kit for the first time yesterday.

 

It's a hair mod. I managed to get the hair to show up in the character creator but now there are two substantial problems I can't figure out.

 

The first problem is that there appears to be a huge hole in the front of the hair model. There is no hole when viewing the model in Nifskope or 3ds Max, it does however appear in Outfit studio. I'm not sure where the hole comes from as the model loaded in Nifskope is the same as the one from Outfitstudio.

The other problem is that a model (of what I think is the hairline model for the hair) is shown in the ground between the legs of the character.

There is one other small problem I havent looked into yet but I'll post them here in case it might be related to the two main issues.

There seem to be some glitters or weird light cubes that look like they are little lensflares coming through the hair model.

I haven't really looked into texturing the hair yet because I wanted to get this fixed before starting on that so forgive the ugly mess that it is right now. (If anyone knows any good tutorials for texturing for Fallout 4 that would be most welcome!)

I'm a noob myself, but the hole in the mesh might just be a clipping issue on account of the difference between the default head and a player created character. What happens if you try the same hair on different face presets?
