Apparently there will be castle customization, one of the levels will be as big as all of the zones in DA2 combined, there is more customization than in DA:O.

I'm so excited. I love the DA series. Have read the books and the comics. Absolutely amazing :D

I can't wait for the new game. I'm so chomping at the bit. Good to know Cullen's back. He needed more time :D Would love to see Fenris and maybe Zevran, that would be sooooo cool.

Meh, even if it's a great game, it'll get rated very average to poor. Too many people play Bioware games now: you've got Mass Effect 2 and 3 fans, who focus on action, and Neverwinter (and other rpgs of a similar style) fans who prefer strategy, so my guess is that, however Bioware spins this game, half of their buyers are going to hate it because it falls outside of their preferred style.

Besides, expectations are waaaaay to high. A shocking number of people on youtube seem to expect fully divergent stories based on every single choice from both DA 1 and 2, and some even expect to be able to choose to play as Hawke or the Warden. (Neither of which, incidentally, will be the protagonist.) A TON of people want the blight threat to continue, because they seemingly can't understand that the Blight is over, another one won't happen for years. And don't even get me started on how big of a multiplayer feature some fans are expecting, after ME 3. It's like they have no understanding of money, time, and resources.

I'll still buy it, though, even if it gets rated badly. I have yet to play a Bioware game that I personally didn't care for. (Yes, I thought DA 2 was awesome. Same for DA:O, Mass Effect series, and a lot of their older games. I think I've mentioned it before.)

I agree with you totally. I'm loving the series for the storylines and the "What ifs". They will never be able to please everybody in everything. I just want the choices to be as good as DAO and the ramifications of the choices made to mean something.

It is totally acceptable to me that the player will not be able to play as an original warden or Hawke, to see them as cast will be brilliant even if it isn't the one I had. I don't care to be honest so long as some of the storylines are completed and questions that weren't answered in DAA or DA2 will be in DA3.

I await with baited breath for the first teasers.

The only thing I wanted from the game is the option to chose a race for the protagonist like in Origins, because for me that was the biggest letdown in Dragon Age 2. In terms of storyline I know it's going to be good because BioWare are quite famous for the good writing after all.

But since we are forced to play as human again I don't know anymore.

I played ME and KOTOR as human, and I don't even mind. I could go on and say that it's more weird playing dwarf and having a love scene with a woman (which is the real reason and the fact that everyone has accents). If it makes you feel better, you have backgrounds that will impact the story (as stated by David Gaider).

We'll just have to wait and see I guess wont we. Everything could change between now and next year. I want to see a proper Tool Kit like we had for DAO. The range and scope of amazing mods was superb. The mods created for DA2 were brilliant in as much as they we made using non-DA tool kits and they were superb. Modders rock and I would hope that the developers realise that they have a fan base that pays tribute by making the game better and more diverse. Of course they could do a Witcher and produce the game and then create a tool kit :D

There might not be a toolkit due to 3rd party software. Also TW2's toolkit is the same as their first one, which is basiclly a create your own adventure kit, hardly what Dark0ne requested at all. I guess it's a wait and see approch for DA3.

And since DA3 uses a whole new game engine, there'll have to be a whole new Toolset as well. :turned:
