Why not transform this place into a player's home / settlement? There is nothing precious to "farm" there, and the place would be good to create a base overseeing satellite communications for example: Institute / Minutemen and secure the western part of the Commonwealth. Hangars could return to their original role, they could also be converted into an underground factory, or create a secret base for the player from the combination of both places.
