Okay, so this is a two parter and I think they are related. Encountered a bug where Valerie gets deleted from the game. She's doing an event as the Regent, and then mid-event, she is deleted from the game. The first time it happened to me was in the throne room, and all of the advisor models in the room also disappeared. Valerie, though, disappears from the Advisor panel, character selection, etc, and everything she carried goes with her. The game then seizes up and I cannot zone, visibly see the passage of time, and am stuck in the city.

 

The second time this happened, I was killing Varrask's enemy when I got a strange error about an item missing. Game crashed, I loaded last save, killed the NPC again, and then Valerie disappeared out of my party and I am unable to leave the Inn. There is an empty block where she once was. This was at about 1 in the morning, so I decided I'd look into it and ask for help today instead.

 

Today, when trying to load *any* save file, related to either of those games or not, I get the attached error message, and then am punted back to the main screen. I have verified files, restarted computer, reinstalled Kingmaker, and disabled various mods except vital ones to the game. I was able to eventually get back into the game, but Valerie is still deleted from the game and I cannot access party menus or the control panel to load the game or go to the main menu.

 

 

 

I use: Advanced Martial Arts; Bag of Tricks; Call of the wild; Craft Magic Items; Kingdom Resolution; Remove Area Effects; Respecialization; VendorProgression. All are updated.

 

Mainly, I am wondering if anyone has encountered anything like this before with Valerie? My guess is it is related to mods, but my friends that use these ones have never encountered this bug with her, even when doing things similar to what I did with them.

I'm running Advanced Martial Arts, Bag of Tricks, Character Level 29, Craft Magic Items, Eldrich Arcana, Fast Travel, Kingdom Resolution, Respec, UI Extensions, and Visual Adjustments.

 

All are up to date. This is my 3rd play trough where Valerie my Regent disappeared (This time it didn't happen during a Regent event) but the last two play troughs it did.

 

I'm going to have to load a game from over 200 in game days old to get her back.

I wonder what is the cause.

Didn't have Kingdom Resolution the first two play troughs either though.

It seems to be a conflict with Advanced Martial Arts, though I am completely unsure of what it is every time. Earlier in the game, the guaranteed item that causes the issue is equipping Valerie with the Lesser Gloves of Duelling. The bug can reappear later in the game (for me, around the time after the Rushlight Tournament), and at that point I am unsure of what is causing it.

I have the same problem - Valerie is completely deleted from the game. I use Advanced Martial Arts, UI Extensions, Respec, Eldrich Arcana, Call of the Wild, Turn-Based, Closer to Tabletop, Scale XP, Camera Rotation and Cleaner.

 

Another thing with the problem - Respec mod has stopped working as well.

 

I uninstalled the game, saved all saves and then removed them from the game's directory, then installed it and copied one of the saves back. Valerie got back... and then disappeared again in the same location as before.
