scveihl Posted December 31, 2019 Share Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) My girlfriend bought oblivion on steam the other day, and i have been watching her play over her shoulder and remembering all the hours i put in years ago... long story short i bought another copy for 5 bucks and installed it right away. as soon as i launch the game however the whole screen is overlaid with a green filter or something and its flickering. the only thing i could find was a quick fix from other games where they set the game to border-less windowed mode and it stopped the flickering. which kind of works in oblivion with windowed mode but there has to be a better fix i would rather not play with the white border at the top of my screen saying "oblivion". current pc specs are windows 10 64 biti7 77k @ 4.216 gb of ramand a pair of gtx 980s in sli side note i do have two moniters but im not using them in surround mode i just use one for discord or what ever on the side and fullscreen game on the main display side side note if i try to record the screen flickering with shadow play or obs it does not appear in the video file but still flickers green *** BIG UPDATE *** after opening the nvidia control panel and disabling SLI i was able to launch the game in fullscreen without the green flickering which is good enough for me for the time being. if anyone has any idea why this is happening i sure would like to know.
