"So you are alive. I was begining to think you'd bit it." Emile thrust the FAL into Samuels hands "Take it. Even I know we're out done. It can't be long until they send more reinforcements, then we'll be trapped." Emile said, throwing a grenade towards some government troops "CATCH!" he shouted, before looking at Sameul "So what's the plan?"

Samuel popped out of cover and returned fire with a three-round burst. A government soldier took one of those bullets to the skull and dropped dead on the spot, probably leaving his face unrecognizable. Looking around as quickly as he could, Samuel started as he realized that somehow, somebody had secured the shipment that this mission existed for.

"EVERYBODY IN YOUR VEHICLES! WE'VE GOT THE SHIPMENT!" He yelled.

He wasn't sure if any of the officers were dead, but if they were, the Recalcitrancy soldiers would get disorganized and then picked off. He saw most of them scrambling for the nearest car, their allies providing covering fire. "Emile, get into the APC and drive, I'll cover you." True to his word, he released another burst, killing another soldier. When the side of the APC was bombarded with shotgun pellets, Julian Cross cursed. He'd missed. He knew that Recalcitrancy soldier from somewhere, and he had to find out where...which meant capturing him, dead or alive.

With this thought track in mind, Julian didn't dive back behind cover immediately, instead opting for another shot, which missed Samuel by a smaller margin this time. However, his decision bit him in the back moments later when one of Samuel's frag grenades sailed through the air, bouncing off of a wall and landing right behind Julian, who failed to get out of the blast radius. The force of the blast lifted and propelled him through the air, hitting his shins on the box he had been using for cover and forcing him forward, sending him so far that he actually flew into the front end of a truck parked behind the APC, stunning him, although his armor protected him from most of the shrapnel. He groaned, rolled over, and looked up, meeting the business end of Samuel's Benelli shotgun. Neither of them wasted any time, Samuel pulled the trigger immediately and Julian managed to roll out of the way, narrowly avoiding winding up just like his parents. With his SPAS-12 on the floor near the driver's side of the APC and Samuel between him and it, Julian had no choice at such close range except to dive straight at Samuel, tackling him to the ground. Samuel kept his grip on the shotgun. This soldier on top of him was too close for him to even point and fire the Benelli, so he improvised, bringing the barrel of the shotgun crashing into Julian's head like a cold metallic club. His helmet saved him from what could have been a killing blow, but it distracted him enough to have Samuel throw him to the side and draw his knife. Standing up, Julian took out the multi-use shovel that had seen heavy use before the virus. It was a fold-out shovel, yes, but the edges were sharp and had notches that made it double as an axe that could split a skull in half. Samuel's eyes narrowed as he avoided Julian's first swing, which left him off balance. He brought his knife down through the air and hit Julian in the shoulder, only to be thrown off balance when the armor deflected it without a scratch. Julian recovered and threw him to the ground. Both men drew their pistols simultaneously, Samuel not having the time or space to use his FN FAL at all throughout the entire scuffle. Seeing the Desert Eagle Julian used, and realising that providing his opponent was smart enough to use the right ammo that pistol could pierce his armor, Samuel fired as many times as he could on pure nerves, adrenaline fueling his trigger figger to empty seven shots in less than a third of the time. As the rounds pelted Julian's armor, the man himself stumbled backwards and fired, missing Samuel entirely. Thankfully none of the bullets pierced his armor, but neither did his pierce Samuel's.

Seeing his SPAS-12 lying on the ground by the APC, he dove for it, noticing for the first time the soldier Samuel had been near. The entire fight between them had taken only around five to 7 seconds, meaning that even if he had been aiming a gun at Julian the whole time they'd been tangled up enough he wouldn't be able to get a clear shot off....at least, so Julian thought. He grabbed the SPAS-12 into his hands as Samuel retreated into the back of the APC, pinned Julian down with gunfire, and slammed the bullet-proof doors shut. Julian didn't see the other guy, hoping he'd simply go for the car and get out of the place before his allies left him behind. Nobody could take on a dozen soldiers at once with minimal cover. One Recalcitrancy soldier rushed around to the driver's door from behind the truck Julian used as cover, but met a quick and nasty end to the SPAS-12.

"Emile, come on!" Samuel shouted, not sure whether Emile was in the vehicle or not.
