Trouble With Korvanjund

I know I'm not the only one who has this struggle, but my game always (and I'm not exaggerating) CTDs around Korvanjund. Direction of approach is irrelevant. I can use coc korvanjund01 to get inside, but if I try to go deeper into the ruin or close to the door back out into Skyrim, I get a CTD. I've already tried a clean install and then reinstalling my mods, but no luck :sad:

Any help would be appreciated!

The manager has nothing to do with that.

A repeatable ctd is almost always one or a couple bad textures added by a mod. It can be done by overwritten by "wrong" mods or as in vortex where you can have conflicts, the "wrong" mod is loaded last.

Yes it has. Vortex has its own way of solving conflicts by forcing you to choose which mod has to load first, which creates more unsolvable conflicts when there's more than two mods involved and you want assets from all three. That creates circular conflicts that cannot be solved by Vortex but are solved in NMM by overwriting files and keeping the ones you want to use. Not saying it's the case here, but starting to mod a game with Vortex is the wrong choice, no matter how hard fanboys shout that it's not true. Not implying you're a fanboy, either.

I can't recommend MO2 for the simple reason I never used it. I've read about it (before it bacame '2') and compared to info about NMM and decided on NMM because the latter was way more simple. And yes, when using NMM, which now has its own plugin sorter imbedded, you should get LOOT also.

I also had a crash at this location, when ever I entered the cave, it immediate crashed. This was fixed by entering the cave before the soldiers did (if I enter after or last, it crashed), but when I entered first the quest did not continue. This was fixed by exiting the cave when the soldiers exited, or before. I think both works. Then, when outside with the soldiers, the quest should continue, and then it is possible to enter the cave again without a crash.

P.S.

I chose the Legion because I believe this was the most just cause, and I don't agree with the Stormcloaks cause overtaking Whiterun. But considering they fight for a good cause also, to suppress suppression, people may have a different opinion and one may play their side with a good conscience also.

There are duplications in this list. There are also missing files. FG has its own version of Amorous Adventures which on its own can give serious trouble to vanilla quests if actions are not carried out in the perfect order (ideally vanilla quests out of the way first). Many mods now expect USSEP, Qwinn is handy. Have another look at the descriptions and requirements.

I don't like the Civil War. Who wants to put Maven in charge of Riften or SliverBlood over Markarth? (Though you do get rid of the idiot in Pale or Falkreath).

Not that it may matter - But I totally agree with Jimmy on this one. I had to finally dump Vortex and a good number and I do mean a good number of issues vanished with Skyrim - Fallout and such.
