ghost horse for a custom ai follower

I am creating a custom voiced follower mod who is also Custom Race and custom Ai. So I got a horse for him and set up a summoning spell but cant get him to ride it. He summons the horse and the horse fights beside him lol. So I basically want my follower to summon this horse and ride it when we travel.
