Hello,

maybe wrong here, then pls move it to the right location.

I ask here because I hope that one of the thousends here reading has an idea:

I can't install Skyrim SE Creation Kit. This is a brand new Win10/64 pro system.

Downloaded it by Launcher from Bethesda to right folder where Steam and Skyrim SE is installed successfully.

click on Start of CK and get a WIndows error message:

"CreationKit.exe - The procedure entry point not found"
"The procedure entry point "SteamUser" was not found in DLL "F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\CreationKit.exe" "

Thanks in advance für any help.

Dreifels

I found no solution, made 3x complete new install of all.

Then I took my backup of December made under Win7 and copied all files in Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\ (files only, not subfolder) to the active new installation.

After that, CK worked fine.

I am using Windows 7 64 bit. In 2017 I installed the Creation Kit without any problems. It was quick and easy. No bugs.

Now I can't seem to get it to work at all. I've tried everything. I can't find a solution to this bug anywhere on the web and I don't have a backup of the old Creation Kit.

If anyone has any ideas, I will be grateful.

This particular tool is installed through the Bethesda Launcher only. it IS the only way you're going to get it.

Please Explain to me why that is such a problem.

Now you peaked my interest.

The pic you posted shows a language, possibly German? Unknown, how ever that is a minor detail, that problem "error" is lack of support software, it is not the launchers fault, it is a lacking of software support.

Update your windows software.

This I gotta hear.

I'm having this same issue; however, let me fill you in on what I've done.

So far, with my windows 10, I've downloaded Bethesda.net freshly a few days ago, installed the CreationKit:Skyrim;

as instructed, I've installed it into Program Files (x86).

*First Problem was "I was missing the steamapi64.dll file"; I fixed this issue no problem.

*Second Problem, most notorious of all, is the SteamUser exception as earlier mentioned.

I have indeed 2016 C++ installed, along with NotePad++, and have followed each instruction with the CreationKit.ini

and CreationKitPrefs.ini files; but - still, I have had no success.

*Another method I have tried, was installing the CreationKit and its entirety, into the:

Program Files (86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition

However, still not working.

Preferrably, if someone were to attempt helping this one - which has the worst luck of all, as if this one was not making

one of the mistakes mention before, this one would indeed be most grateful.

In between I got it working. However, can't remember what in detail had done past year. it was NOT a windows update issue (it was a brand new win installation on a brand new PC that time, so all was up to date)

I have it installed in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\CreationKit.exe,

I have it installed in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\CreationKit.exe,

NOTE: The full path is required, but I'll attempt a guess.

"C:\Program Files (x86)/Steam/***************

IF that is in fact the case, that is the problem.

Suggest reinstall of steam to any drive other than C:

IF not available, use this----> C:\My new Steam games <------ as the new target and reinstall all the data 1 game at a time and test them one at a time.

In either regard, you have permissions issues with the OS.

My working installation pathes are F:\Steam\Steam.exe

along with D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\SkyrimSE.exe

and "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\CreationKit.exe"

and D:\Bethesda Net Launcher\BethesdaNetLauncher.exe

I don't have any game related on c:\... (default) but alll on other HDD
