how can I improve the display distance

Hello, sorry if this question is often asked but i don't know how can I improve my display distance other than download Lod generator and change my display distance in the SkyrimPref.ini (who seems to doesn't really work).

 

what i research is that the game show me the grass or other plants more than only 5 meters around me (i'm exaggerating but it's nearly that sometimes) and also better landscape texture who are far away.
