How can I change the outward appearance of my Skyrim character?

I installed

Racemenu v.3.4.5

Bodyslide andOutfit Studio - v.4.9.1

Botox for Skyrim

Latex Witch - Nokou + Latex Witch CBBE Bodyslide

NetImmerse Override

Caliente&Beautiful Bodies Edition v3.4f

SOS

Realistic Ragdolls and Force

XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended

FNIS 7.5

SkyUI

Skyrim - Utility Mod

I can imagine, that some of them are not compatible with each other such as "Botox for Skyrim" and "Racemenu" as I read. Anyway, I don't have much experience and don't want know what is with what compatible. Neither do I have any knowledge, of when it is better to choose "after" or "before" when installing the mods in the Vortex Manager and file conflicts are appearing (I know that the "after" chosen mod will overrun the "before", but I dont know what mod should overrun which one)

Thereby I also installed:

SexLab with all different dialogues, voices, animations, ...

(SexLab Framework, SexLab Romance, Defeat, CumTextures Remake, Tools, HorribleHarassment, Slavery Plus, Anub Creature, Anub Humar, Animations by Leito, ...)

and the DeviousLore Mod with all dependencies, but I cannot imagine that these (Sexlab + DeviousLore + RoadInspections) influence the above mentioned mods, who basically apply on "Body, Face, Hair" or in general the visualisation and not the animation.

In addition to that: I think I installed every relevant mod to CBBE and not UNPB but I will check again (anyway I don't know if the use of both CBBE and UNPB will interrupt)

Attached you can find screenshots of my Vortex Manager to see all my mods in detail.

Is there anyone capable to help me out? Would be highly glad about that!

  1. use bodyslide to create the basic body for your player. (BTW, as a general rule, I alwasy make sure to check the build morphs checkbox, both for bodyslides and for fitted armor/clothing. This is, afaik critically important for maintaining fit on clothing/armor when using racemenuy for in game body adjustments)
  2. use racemenu to either modify existing, or load replacement face data. (and/or modify a loaded face preset)
  3. use racemenu to fine tune bodyslide created body in game. (warning, any non-fitted armor, clothing, or decorations will not "stretch" with racemenu adjustments.)

be aware that when loading racemenu overlays (ie the many racemenu presets one can download), that they are based on the foundations (specific character race and original bodyslide or face data in their own game) a given author used, so you may not get exactly what you see in their mod advertisements unless they have spelled out all the specifics, including any adjsutments they may have made in bodyslide for the body elements).

For instance, my female character was built around a relatively ugly, flat faced "nord" model. (that is, what I chose when I first started playing during the initial Helgen scene, which was, in my opinion, the least hideous vanilla face I could select)

I then used racemenu to tweak her face (and successively improved on it over months until I coincidentally got a face something like Jessica Biel)

Mean while, I fiddled with dozens of bodyslide variants that you can download and found one that I liked, then I tweaked that using bodyslide (again successively over several months of fine tuning the bodyslide foundation)

a few moths ago, I downloaded a bunch of racmenu presets out of curioisty.

I applied one to my character. It was technicallly based on and for a Breton character and mine is nord. So... It didn't actually replace my face, it modified it, morphing the two together by some arcane morphing magic into a new face different from either of its "parents". Weirdly enough, both my character's original setup AND the racemenu preset were brunettes...the morph is blonde, and not by me choosing it. it just happened. But it works, and surprisingly enough, it works better than if she were brunette (I tried both by adjusting the hair color, and the blonde hair won the contest hands down)

I have since further tweaked both the face and the body using racemenu, and saved the whole mess into a character preset so I don't lose the changes.

Bottom line, experiment. I'm not a professional artist, just a persistent hack. And it's paid off

OH... To make sure you have something you can "punt " back to when experimenting, it will pay to save your current player from racemenu into a unique jslot preset before doing anything there, so you can load it if you go too far or otherwise turn it into a mess...)

Same, btw for any customized bodyslides you create for your nude and clothed variant body (at least for female characters, one usually should have both a nude bodyslide and a "clothed" variant, because clothing affects the breast shape and disposition (nipples for instance, don't usually protrude from steell armor, whereas they might for a light "shirt" or whatever... And additionally, beasts tend to get squished by clothing (this is one area I'm still learning how to properly adjust...).

Save your adjusted bodsylide presets to some name like "sharina_my_hawt_chick" or "Urgo_the_super_strong_warrior" and a clothed variant (again, more important for the Chiquitas due to the nature of breasts and clothing vs non clothed.) , because almost inevitably you'll need them for fitting armor or clothing later on when you see some armor clothing mod you just have to have for the player, and trust me, recreating what you did two months ago from scratch is a massive pita and head banger.
