ironhulk55 Posted February 25, 2020 Share Posted February 25, 2020 I haven't looked much into the process used for mantle effects but, mantles are secretly armor that gets put on your character over or instead of your actual armor. Meaning, some script when you put on a mantle unloads/hides player armor then loads/places mantle parts. Modders can already make models invisible but, mhw probably wouldn't like having both models loaded (if i'm right and it doesn’t there’s probably 4 times the difficulty) and, mantle item data (not just item parameters like duration or price) needs to be reverse engineered and changed (something I would only trust an insane person to try to do) As much as I wish some mad man would hack in a replacement system, I doubt it’s possible for another 1-2 years at least unless they suddenly get the dev tools to assist.
