I'd like all staffs/staves in the game to behave as follows:- If equipped in right hand... ~ right hand button cast regular staff effect/spell ~ left hand button uses staff to block ~ ideally this would allow for bashing with a staff (but i am willing to settle for blocking only)- if equipped in left hand... ~ no change to behaviour from vanilla game I've looked extensively for a mod that does this; there are some that do similar things but in ways that i find unsatisfactory. Asking here as a last-ditch effort. I'm willing to learn how to create mods myself, although I've never created my own before (only installed mods created by other authors) so I'd probably need some help getting started. I was unable to find any tutorials on how to alter the behaviour of weapons in game, although i presume it to be possible since there are mods that do similar things already.Thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tricker7 Posted January 28, 2020 Author Share Posted January 28, 2020 A sub-optimal but acceptable alternative is to simply make all staves 2-handed, having them behave in the same way as any other 2-handed weapon, with the exception that the primary attack button casts the staff's spell/effect (rather than swinging it like a club).
