donate4zanmato Posted January 29, 2020 Share Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) Hi, I am both new to mods in general (as I have only just purchased my own gaming PC) and new to nexusmods - so hello, and please be patient with me. Basically, I wanted to start with Final Fantasy XII as it's a game I have maxed out on PS2 and again on PS4. I have seen an abundance of interesting mods on this website, and decided on a number of them that I would like to install. However, I... umm... have no idea what I'm doing. I have been trying to install the DrakLab Mod Loader, but, though I have downloaded it into Vortex, when I try to install it I receive a notification (in Vortex) saying: "Installation cancelled: Game not installed". The game most definitely IS installed, and when I click on the details of the game (in Vortex) it shows the folder location of the game (which is in my Steam folder in program files). I imagine that everything I am saying probably sounds really stupid, but I am completely new to this and would appreciate some help if anyone has a little time to spare. Kind Regards, Me Edit: Apologies, when I try to install the 'Final Fantasy 12 Vortex Support' I get "Installation cancelled: Game not installed".When I try to install the DrakLab Mod Loader, I get "Mod is not supported. This will show all games supported by Vortex.At this point in time, on my system, no Final Fantasy game is supported. On my Vortex, I can't see any tab called Extensions? But on the tab that says Games there is a long list of games (blacked out), and Final Fantasy XII was on there. I clicked on it and it seems to have, by itself, located where the game is on my PC. Utterly confused! But I will check out that video now. Scroll down a bit and Enable Advanced Mode.Now Extensions should show up.Final Fantasy XII shows up for me under Games also. Not sure what that means - every managed game needs an extension to handle it.The extension tells Vortex where to put mods. Someone else can chip in how a game is handled that has no extension. Thanks. I've gone into the Extensions tab now, and right at the bottom there is 'Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age Vortex support' (enabled)? I've managed to open the DrakLabs app (mod browser/sorter thing for FFXII:TZA)... Will explore it a little and update here with the next dumb issue I run into.
