EngiTheViking
*RESOLVED* Issue was the game hates being installed on secondary drives and not the C: drive :/I just got the Special Edition of Skyrim a few days ago (late to the party ik) and I'm experiencing an issue I've never had before where the audio for certain actions is missing, and theyre missing inconsistentaly. initially it was the the weapon strike audio and some spell audios. Uninstall, reinstall. Spell audio and weapon strikes back. Unsheath and footsteps are gone. Google'd the issue, tried some fixes regard INI files. Didn't help. I had seen people recommend using BethINI as well and still no results. Uninstall, reinstall. Nothing. Verify game file integrity. No results.I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? These all occur in vanilla SE, so no mod interaction, and all drivers are up to date. Edited February 1, 2020 by EngiTheViking
shumkar
I can recommend to try mods that are patches for known vanilla issues as USSEP (Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch), SSE Engine Fixes (a more compex one, requires SKSE). EngiTheViking
Thanks for the speedy response shumkar, unfortunately in an unrelated thread i found the issue to be that my game was installed on the D: drive and not the C: drive :/
anjenthedog
check the mod categories that start with "audio". you may find solutions there. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/categories
