Is it possible for someone who has actually used the creation kit in the last 4 years to provide an updated guide as how someone new to the process should get started? Modkitchen is outdated and not recommended right on the page, so we should be using one of the newer utilities which there are a few of... But none of them have guides that I can find. Using a 3 or 4 year old guide for software that is outdated is bound to create all kinds of issues, isn't it?

Personally I just want to edit an existing mod, the creators of said mod however cannot be depended on for support in almost anyway, (you are more likely to be misdirected or mocked) they will most likely not do much other then ignore your requests for help/guidance. Just by browsing the unanswered queries for mod talk/mod troubleshooting it becomes clear that I am not the only one who is a little bit lost trying to get into witcher 3 modding without a relevant guide as to how to get started at least.

Specifically, I am looking to strip W3EE down to just its combat components, I get the strong impression that I will I need to use the modkit in conjunction with a text editor to do this.

What programs should mod creators be using nowadays in conjunction with the modkit to make mod creation/editing as easy and fluid as possible?

Wolvenkit? xTcModKit - 5.0-BETA-1.1? Complete ModKit (wcc_lite) UI - All Commands? There are a few other options also newer then the mod-kitchen as well...

Does said program have a tutorial to be found somewhere? If not can you provide the basic directions a new mod creator/editor would need to use said program?

Other then that, any advice as to how new modders should go about getting into Witcher 3 mod creation would be most appreciated by many in the community... Thank you.
