Replacing/Editing Sword Models in Blender

So I've been trying to remove the wavy ends on the cross guard for the Witcher 3's Relic Gwyhyr, https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Gwyhyr - https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/witcher/images/0/09/Tw3_unique_gwyhyr.png/revision/latest?cb=20170828015038 and I've used Blender to edit the fbx file. https://i.gyazo.com/3e376a5a7341036d720108b80471630f.png

 

So I've managed to remove the ends, then packed it into a mod file with ModKitchen, yet in game the ends of the crossguard remain, have I missed something or need to edit the XML file? I've never done this before and got no idea so any advice is appreciated.
