[LE] Donating to a custom NPC? (how to make a custom beggar?)

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm making mod and with the npcs I'm adding I want to give them donations the same way you would a beggar. I basically want the player to say a line of dialogue and then 5 gold is taken out of the player's inventory with the npc saying thanks with voice acting. I've tried looking it up and I can't find anything that worked, note I have no experience with coding.

I already have one npc that I'm working on, a few voice lines, location, armour, etc.

Basically, how do you make your own beggars?

Hi, if you are still interested in this, I recently created a beggar by just duplicating another beggar (Silda the Unseen), making her male, giving the new NPC another name, other traits, stats, looks etc. but her AI packages (I changed them later on without problems).
Kept him in the "Beggar" class and in Sildas factions.
I then put him as an alias to my quest. I could "do" all the things to him that I wanted to via the quest, as well as simply donate to him (the usual gold piece, if you want it to be 5 gold, I think you would have to change or customize the "beggar favor quest" or what it is called.).
I am a newbie at modding, but this was quite easy.

I believe the most important is that he/she is in the beggar's class and in somethinkg like "beggar favor faction" (I do not recall the exact term, right now)

Oh, I just see that you have that NPC already, in this case you can still use e.g. Silda as template, just take over the "beggar class" stuff etc., not the inventory, traits, stats, etc.
