theskymoves Posted February 27, 2020 Share Posted February 27, 2020 Like Thandal, I've had many playthroughs, with an install that is modded to a truly stupid extent, and I've never encountered repeated or persistent CTDs. Perhaps if you had come to the forums to seek help with troubleshooting the issues, rather than waiting until after the fact to complain about it, a solution could have been found and your experience with the game been more enjoyable. Choose a different Origin, choose a different class and/or gender, choose different companions in your "go to" party, make some different choices at decision points, do any or all of those and you'll have a very different experience. I discovered the mod that was causing 99% of the CTDs, so it wasn't the devs fault. I guess I shouldn't blame the game simply for that. The mod in question was called Improved Atmosphere, and it was considered one of the top 5 necessary mods so I never thought it would be causing all sorts of havoc. Thandal Posted March 8, 2020 Share Posted March 8, 2020 @Wulcy; (Love your avatar and associated username, BTW.) "IA" is the best/worst mod. It does amazing things, but doesn't play well with others. Worse, some of its changes get "baked-in" to your saves and even after uninstalling things might not work right.
