faster trap setting and disarming

All traps in the game use animation 904, which starts a sequence of animations and is not just one animation. It takes about 5 seconds to complete, which is also the cooldown for all traps. There really isn't anything you can do about these animations; they are made like that. What you can do is assign a different "cast" animation to traps, one that is quicker. There really isn't any other animation designed for trap setting, but I found that the "throw" animation looks good enough for this purpose. It's the animation used for throwing bomb.

 

Here's an abi table in which all traps use the "throw" animation and have a cooldown of 1s. You can try it out, see what it's like. Just drop the file into your Override folder.

Oh and as for disarming traps, you don't have to wait for the animation to finish. A trap is disabled as soon as you click on it, and you can have the rogue do something else immediately without any issue.
