Updated Texturing tutorials/manuals for SSE

Hi

So, I would like to ask you to help me (and other modders) find some texturing tutorials/manuals/guides that, among other things, describe new SSE features and opportunities.

I have tried google, but almost all tutorials I found – outdated (for oldrim).

New information – is very fragmentary, although I could find interesting things. For example - it turns out that now we can use new advanced dds encoding method - BC7 which significantly better than DXT 1/3/5.

But, of course, I would like to have some organized data, rather than take info here and there. Something like https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1188259-bslightingshaderproperty-basics/

for SSE.

In particular, I'm interested in

  1. Structure of the standart SSe shader for armor/cloth. What maps is it uses? I’ve noticed that many properties in the *.nif are given by single numbers. How to enable texture maps instead of single numbers to authoring some material properties (like roughness/glossiness) (is it even possible?)
  2. Can I use custom shaders? Or, may be, I can switch between different standart shaders in the *.nif files?
  3. Can I simulate PBR approach with some degree of approximation?
