kankuro13 Posted March 11, 2020 Share Posted March 11, 2020 HiSo, I would like to ask you to help me (and other modders) find some texturing tutorials/manuals/guides that, among other things, describe new SSE features and opportunities.I have tried google, but almost all tutorials I found – outdated (for oldrim).New information – is very fragmentary, although I could find interesting things. For example - it turns out that now we can use new advanced dds encoding method - BC7 which significantly better than DXT 1/3/5. But, of course, I would like to have some organized data, rather than take info here and there. What maps is it uses? I’ve noticed that many properties in the *.nif are given by single numbers. How to enable texture maps instead of single numbers to authoring some material properties (like roughness/glossiness) (is it even possible?) Can I use custom shaders? Or, may be, I can switch between different standart shaders in the *.nif files? Can I simulate PBR approach with some degree of approximation?
