Help! Something is wrong with my load order and now my Skyrim keeps crashes! Can't fignure out what I did wrong!

Now, before you ask, yes i have read the beginners guide. I'm in the process of trying to figure it all out at the moment. I'm confused out of my mind, but I'm trying.

 

I would like to know how to determine the load order without resorting to running 3 different programs. Is there an intuitive system to it? Or am I just going to have to deal with LOOT and such?

 

I've been going crazy for the past two-ish hours trying find what I did wrong. It just keeps crashing.

I'm assuming you have used Loot to get this listing, I am also assuming you are using a Mod manager. I hope your have Tes5edit

I think its a Rogue Mod but you won't know until you've followed these steps that I use for problems like these.

 

1.run Loot

2.disable all mods (use Mod Manager)

3 verify integrity of your game (via Steam)

4. run Tes5Edit (every mod user should have this tool)

Why you should use Tes5edit check out Gopher youtube channel on tes5edit install. Its really old but he gives a great explanation of what Tes5edit is and why you should use it. The latest versions of Tes5edit are excellent and much easier to use but Gopher tut is brilliant you will come away with a better understanding of the whys you should use it.

5. run game

These steps are just to make sure the game itself is not broken.

If OK

 

Then proceed to enable your mods making sure each one is install properly and works before moving on to the next mod.

its long and boring but its the only way I've been able to find a rogue mod.

 

For me its always been FNISSexyMove but its different for everyone because of the nature of the Machines we have, seeing this mod in your line up reminded me of this same problem I had but like I said every machine is different.

Also someone else might be able to pick out the problem just by looking at your list. If no one else is able to help try this, as long as you have all the tools you should be able to get past this little bump in your gaming experience.

Is become king of skyrim the highking mod? if so I had massive problems from that. Its old and afaik hasn't been updated since like 2013. Try disabling that.

 

LOOT is a must have. Its pretty much required. No one will be able to tell you what order your load order should be in. LOOT does that for you.

 

Also does it happen on a brand new save?

Did you uninstall any script mods on that save? if so that is likely the problem. Its a mistake to uninstall script mods unless there's an uninstallation method on the mod page. The way the engine works is that it saves the scripts on your save. When you remove the mod, the script is still there and the game tries to look for it but since it doesn't exist it overloads the engine and you get a crash. When you uninstall a script mod you have to start a new game or you'll likely get a lot of crashes.

 

Its a general rule with bethesda games, don't uninstall mods midplaythrough. Armor and weapon mods are generally ok but not quest mods or any other type of script mod.

Sorry for not mentioning, Yes. I have LOOT, I am using Mod Manager, and have Tes5edit.

 

1. Ran Loot - All good

2. Disabled all my mods on Mod Manager

3.Verified the integrity of the game - There was 5 issues (not sure what they were but apparently they're fixed)

 

At this point, with an un-modded, I wanted to see if the game would CTD when run. It did CTD after it got the loading screen when I clicked "New Game"

 

Will still try to see if doing the other steps helps, just wanted to give an UPDATE.
