Need help with learning how to mod skyrim

I'm trying to get into modding skyrim, starting with basics of just making a custom race. Basic CK skin and hair colour change with custom stats as well. The problem im having is that the head isnt showing up ingame, but it does show up in the creation kit. I don't know what it's causing the head to disappear.
