Secondly, due to the reddit post I saw -- I don't care about the free fall boots, i'm asking about an armor mod that you can basically build at the beginning of the game not some legendary equipment that you'll be able to get roughly in mid to end game without the use of console commands. So, this isn't my first time setting up an armor set to give me basically no fall damage whatsoever no matter how high I fall. I like to do this once i'm able to build the cross jetpack from the cross jetpack mod to have a true aerial combatant feel every now and then. But, I'm currently comparing one of the leg pieces I set up with the perk I got from a companion from a mod to give me a better judgement on something I'm deciding on.
