Difference between "mesh only" and "all in one"?

A friend of mine was asking what the difference between a "mesh only" and an "all in one" was in reference to a body mod, and i don't know exactly how to answer that question.

It would probably depend on the particular mod, but I would assume an All In One would also include textures.

Mesh only would be a replacer for the NIF file(s).  A separate mod would be needed to supply textures appropriate to that mesh.  This type is basically a modification of a full body mod.


An all in one varies from mod to mod as far as what is included but in a nutshell, the textures are supplied along side the mesh files. Sometimes an all in one will include a head mesh with textures designed to match the body texture such that the entire mod works seamlessly (or as near as possible).
