Multiple npc overhaul

Hi everyone!

So I am trying to get several npc overhauls to function together, some of them edit the same NPCs of course.

For example,

  • Pandorable's NPCs
  • and
  • Metalsabers Elegant Elves of Skyrim

I use Vortex for my managing and I want the edits of Pandorable to be what I see in game.

Now as these edit the same NPCs my question is, to get them to function as best as possible together should I either

1, Just let Vortex handle it all by loading Pandorable after Metalsaber

2, Delete the facegeoms and facetints that clash from Metalsaber

3, Load Metalsaber into CK and delete the edits (that clash with Pandorable) there and also delete the files after

I have had multiple issues with missing textures, gray face, gray face without hair and naked NPCs when I have been fiddling around previously.

I am still learning and would love any suggestions or help on this matter :)

I would suggest #1, with the added suggestion of placing all your npc overhauls as low as possible in your load order. The only thing below mods like Pandorable's NPCs and Bijin Warmaidens should be mods that alter the appearance of a specific npc (like Seranaholic, for example).

Install and load the mod that you want to win any possible conflicts after all others. I am not overly familiar with Metalsabler's mods, but I see no problem with using them in conjunction with other npc beautification mods. Just don't go overboard---using 2 or 3 of these types of mods is usually not a problem, but using a dozen mods that alter the same npc will obviously cause issues. I use Pandorable's and Bijin together because the authors made it a point not to alter the same npcs.

Read the descriptions for all such mods carefully. Good luck and happy modding.

I have all Pandorable overhauls, Bijin, metalsaber, Kallies and Ordinary Women overhaul working together.

The load order I use is.

Ordinary women

Elegant Elves

Beautiful Orcs (has only 1 conflicting NPC)

Kallies

Pandorable

Even though Pandorable, Bijin and Kallies do not confilict they also do not cover every NPC, so I have to use Ordinary and Metalsaber's

The easiest way of those mods to work is to use #2 by deleting nif and dds files, you can do #3 if you know how to use SSEedit. I use the following spreadsheet for refference, so I know which mod it is from. It shows the name of the mod and highlights the duplicated names.

Here's a preview. Maybe it'll be helpful to you.

Thanks both for the replies!

I have tried what you wrote sentinel1313 but I had some issues with gray face when I did that. I will try it again though with some added thought to the load order!

I will try what you suggested also RYUchan!
