Vortex crashes when i try to open it

I'm new to modding so I have no idea how to fix this on my own.

- I download 1.2.9, allow it to make changes on my PC

- It opens automatically, i navigate from the dashboard to the games tab

- Quick scan to find Skyrim SE

- It's already being managed, I hover over it and click activate

- Vortex immediately closes and when I try to open it again, it shows the vortex logo in the middle of my screen then disappears again.

 

I've tried deleting vortex and installing again, and tried installing previous versions where Skyrim SE is already activated in Vortex so i can use it but when i close Vortex i cant reopen it and it says a particular file can't be read. It also mentions something about LOOT

I've also tried reinstalling Skyrim SE in the hope that it might for some reason work but it didn't make any changes.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

The error message appears then disappears fast so I can't fully read it or screenshot it but i can provide the error message given when i tried it on 1.1.15 Vortex if requested.

So fix the file that the error message is telling you to fix.

The userlist.yaml in the C:\users\<YOUR NAME>\appdata\roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\

Rename userlist.yaml to something else, and try to start vortex again.
