Brainstorming: Super re-arrange mode with extended downtown, early Nemesis and more key items

The more investigation and randomizer mods got me thinking on how the beginning of the game could be arranged to add more backtracking and exploration.

 

Some things that will be changed include:

1. Nemesis spawning when the gate collapses. Has inferno moveset, health and speed but less damage.

2. No typewriter in the donut shop office (carryover from Inferno mode) and no autosaves.

3. Downtown extended until gate by Kendo's.

 

The mod would rely on finding the jewels to unlock key items:

 

Jewel box locations and unlockables:

 

The first jewel would be located in the pharmacy. The jewel would unlock the cutting tool.

 

The second located in upstairs in house by Kendo's and unlocks lockpick.

 

The third jewel is in the parasite area and gives the magnum.

 

If it is somehow possible to create new locker combinations and create new keys to unlock doors that didn't need a key previously, I wrote up ways to expand other levels in the game.
