So I just started modding Skyrim today and yeah I was looking through the forums because I wanted to know if I have to get ALL the requirements of specific mods I wanted. Like for example I want ne that makes hunting etter or able to camp and when i look at the requirement lists my eyes almost pop out.. Do I really need them for the mod I want becaue they will work only then.. or are those just optionaö and/or recommendations?

Thanks in advance :)

The requirement list is split into two parts

1. NEXUS REQUIREMENTS

2. MODS REQUIRING THIS FILE

Only pay attention to NEXUS REQUIREMENTS, those are the mods (Unless tagged OPTIONAL) that are required by the mod you're looking at.

The other list (MODS REQUIRING THIS FILE) is a list of other mods on the Nexus that require the mod you're looking at.

It should be clear from the names of the sections

Oh I see so the ones I need are those written with the white font next to the link?

CAPS for EMPHASIS

No.

LOOK at the screen...

See where it says NEXUS REQUIREMENTS?

Only THOSE mods are REQUIRED by Legacy of the Dragonborn mod in order for the mod to work.

Now see the Section below that where it says "MODS REQUIRING THIS FILE"?

That is just a list of mods that REQUIRE Legacy of the Dragonborn in order to work, but on no way are necessary for Legacy of the Dragonborn to work, unless you install those mods, so that entire section can be ignored

So Legacy of the Dragonborn, Requires "Legacy of the Dragonborn Patches", "Skyrim Script Extender", and "SkyUI". THAT'S IT.

Anything in the other section can be ignored

I have a question that follows on from this.

I understand perfectly what you've just said, but sometimes you get 'To get this Mod A to work, you need Mod B first' - I get that, thats easy -but sometimes I find its like this: 'To get this Mod A to work, you need Mod B first, to get Mod B to work you need Mod C, to get that to work you need Mod D, which needs Mod E' and so on. Do i really need to download all these additional mods or can I get away with just getting Mod B and ignore the rest?

Only if those mods are the section labelled "Nexus Requirements" and NOT "Mods requiring this file"
