Request for NPC Statues

Hi! So I finally got a computer and got fallout. I had an old mod on my ps4 game called Unlocked Settlement Obejcts/USO by Andrewcx. It added a whole bunch of stuff to the game. One thing it added was realistic NPC and animal statues. So I could have a "statue" of a raider sitting and I could place it over a chair and he would sit there forever. He was entirely static, with no way to talk to him or anything. it was seriously just a statue. And USO Added statues for most animals and types of NPC with one or two poses. I wish I could just get USO but I cant run mods from Bethgesda and mods from NBexus at the same time, or at least I don't know how to do so.

So I am looking for something similar.I want two of my companions to get married to each other (judge me) and I am trying to create an audience for their wededing that will respectfully sit in their pews and watch instead of running about and making my screenshots shoddy.

Ok, for starters, correct your spelling it's, Settlement Objects Unlocked , I suggest you copy my spelling and paste it in on Nexus Fallout 4 page, then hit the search button. What you're looking for should be the 8th mod on the page. I say do the search because it gives you some other mods you may be interested in.

I find 2 mods searching for Settlement Objects Unlocked.

Anyway sicknesseater, if you can't find exactly the mod you're looking for, it's easy to grab it from the Bethesda site and install manually.

Before, install it like you've done in the past, then go in your Fallout 4 game folder, then in Data folder and copy all the mod files installed in a directory of your choice. The file names will be probably like the mod name, Settlement Objects Unlocked.esp, Settlement Objects Unlocked - Main.BA2, etc....

When you have a backup of the mod files, uninstall it from the Bethesda site, copy your mod backup (the ones in the folder of your choice, where you copied the mod files) in the Data folder of the Fallout 4 game directory.....and there is a last step to do.

Now you have the mod in your game files and you have to activate it, if you're using a mod manager activate the mod using it.

If you don't have a mod manager, go in User/AppData/Local/Fallout 4 folder, and edit the file plugin.txt. Before you edit it be sure it could be edited clicking it with the right mouse button and in properties it isn't set as "read only", if it's flagged read only tick the flag temporary, apply the changes, ok.

In the plugin.txt you have to add the mod esp name in the list and activate it putting an asterisk before the mod esp name like this:

*Settlement Objects Unlocked.esp

Keep in mind that the list represents your load order, so a mod at the end of it has precedence over the others, risking to overwrite some of their modifications to the game.

Close the plugin.txt file, save the changes, open its properties and set again the flag "read only" if it's setted like this precedently.

Done. The mod you're looking for is installed and ready.

Oh geez! I apologize about that, seriously. I edited the spelling errors I saw in my post. I have a serious issue with making spelling errors. My bad. Crap. That was awful. However as for your reply, I appreciate your help. Unfortunately i am definitely looking for Unlocked Settlement Objects and not Settlement Objects Unlocked. I downloaded SOU when I was looking for USO. It does give me a few things that I like, but it's actually not the same or nearly as comprehensive as USO. Hoemmaker doesn't seem to be nearly as comprehensive either, though it is quite vast. If I can't find the mod I will live. I am just actually missing some of the stuff I had on PS4. USO had about half a million rugs and flooring textures I absolutely adored, alomg with the dozens of static NPC statues I am looking for. I have looked everywhere for what I am looking for, a bit obsessively. I have actually dug through every page and of the mod sections that contain settlements, furniture or other building type items. Most of what I am looking for is to just substitute what I am missing from USO, though.

Ooh! I feel like this could get me what I am looking for. I will try it within the hour! Or attempt to. I know literally everyone and their grandmother is going to kick my ass in for saying this, but I am actually using vortex as a mod manager. So far it's going very successfully despite the fact that it doesn't seem particualrly popular with the modding community according to most threads I have read. It's actually successfully managing about 70 mods and half of them are for workshop things. I used to use a more "appropriate" manager when I modded NV in the old days. So I think I can manage with the directions you have given me. Or god knows I can try!

Practically, you have to backup the mod files in a folder of your choice. It's very simple, it's a copy and paste thing.

Obviously I think the mod you're looking for must have a PC version, I don't know how it works the PS modding.

Good luck!

Yeah the mod I am looking for has a PC version. Unfortunately it's over on bethesda's site, where I didn't think i'd be able to download stuff from and use Vortex at the same time. I'll go on and admit to being a doof when it comes to this modding business. I am surprised I have gotten this far honestly.

Why shouldn't you be able to download it?
What does it tell you if you subscribe to the mod?

Well I honestly assumed I couldn't run a mod straight from bethesda, through bethesda's mod loader and keep everything i got from nexus running from vortex as well. In mny initial attempts this didn't work for me and I ended up just reinstalling the entire game, clean. It could have been an issue with mod order or something else. But my second go around I stuck with just vortex and everything has been going smoothly despite the obscenely large amount of mods I've got running. So I have just stayed away from bethesda mods ever since. If I subscribe to the mod, install it and activate it from bethesda's modding service, it will let me. On the other hand things seem to get funky from there. When i first gave it a go I had some serious problems with keeping mods from both services constantly active.

Maybe because Bethesda manager changes your plugin.txt or other.

Make a backup copy of it, even better, backup your Fallout4 folder in AppData where is the plugin.txt. To be sure backup also your Fallout4 saves folder in documents, where are the ini files and of course your saves.....and backup even your Vortex settings.

I don't know Vortex but I imagine it has an installation folder with the executables, settings, etc....backup its folder.

When you installed the mod from Bethesda site, created the mod files backup and uninstalled it from the Bethesda site, you have all the backups to revert your game status before the Bethesda hurricane

Just a suggestion, look at the Fallout 4 main folder, just to know if it installs a file or a folder in that directory, so you can easily delete or rename it when you've done to disable it. Usually when I want to deactivate something but I'm not sure if I can delete it, I rename it with four zeros in front. For example.....mod.txt. I rename it to 0000mod.txt and it's disabled.

If you want to be sure in a second time, order the files by date and you will know what are the last files and folders created without your knowledge.
