Hello everyone. Have you ever tried out the single player campaign scenarios of Empire Earth, the expansion pack Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest, and the sister game Empires: Dawn of the Modern World? If you have tried any of those out, you must have found some single player scenarios as fantastic, just like I did. I remember Empire Earth's campaigns of the Greek Campaign and the German Campaign. I remember playing as WW2 Germany and declaring war on neighbouring (neighboring) nations, invading them and conquering them. It was so great! I also remember playing the campaigns of Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, such as the Patton Campaign and the Yi Campaign. In the Patton Campaign, I loved controlling Patton and his forces, invading the Morocco beaches of Vichy France and the Germans.

What was one thing these great scenarios lacked? They were single player only! You could not share this great experience with a friend or other friends. Sure, you could talk to a friend about them, but never play together to try and achieve the objectives together. Sadly, existing Empire Earth single player scenarios cannot be modified to allow multiplayer players. The scenario editor doesn't allow that. To make a Empire Earth multiplayer scenario, one has to edit a multiplayer save game file, which players had already pre-joined before. If you have a multiplayer save game file of 4 human players, then you can edit a scenario with 4 human players.

The Empires: Dawn of the Modern World Scenario Editor, on the other hand, allows you to implement human players into existing Scenarios. If someone was to painstakingly analyse the triggers and effects of scenarios of say the General Patton campaign, technically you could implement a brand new human player. Where triggers once said make "Player 1 Victorious", you would also have to include the brand new human player. After such hard work, you then have one of the greatest Multiplayer scenarios ever! Together, you and a friend, could invade the beaches of Morocco, occupied by the Vichy French. Patton and his men, with the help of a friend's men under his control, could complete the objectives together!

I want to encourage scenario makers to consider making brand new Multiplayer scenarios! I feel through practice, together, we could create some of the greatest Multiplayer scenarios the community has ever seen! We could also focus on transforming Empires: Dawn of the Modern World scenarios to Multiplayer as well, sharing the great war experience together!

What are the community's thoughts and suggestions?

I would strongly support this as I too enjoyed the General Patton campaign, which was one of my favourite. The campaigns of the Empire Earth series tended to have poor cinematics, where as the cinematics of this game were so much better and more interesting to watch. If triggers could cause both multiplayer players to view the cinematics together, I feel transforming the single player scenarios to multiplayer could work and would open up a lot of potential. I would love to play the General Patton campaign with a friend. I admit, tons of work would have to be done, such as looking at all the existing triggers and effects and implementing changes, but the hard work would be very worth it. There maybe some more balancing needed as well, such as adding in more Vichy France forces, but this too is possible. I would like to see more Empire Earth multiplayer scenarios, of a high good quality. Some were pretty poor. But scenario makers learn through practice and learn from mistakes.

If it was possible for someone to make even any of the scenarios of the Patton campaign multiplayer, that would be a fantastic achievement. I would love to try that multiplayer! I commenting to help bring further notice to this post. I sadly don't hold scenario editor skills.
