Hello,

Ever since I started playing Skyrim, I am curious about modding, never done modding before as this will be my first one.

The idea?

It would be related as to why the MC (Main Character), is coming to Skyrim? Is it to become a hero? Or is it something personal? (I know there are mods that might be related to this, but I wanted to explore more about it)

I want to create an immersive quest mod where the MC explores her/his bloodline, as in her/his parents lived in Skyrim, after being orphaned and the only clue is a necklace or ring left by their parents.

Along the way, the MC will discover that she may be related to a long-forgotten emperor that has since been destroyed by a clan or a necromancer (depending on the choices, maybe the Thalmors?) Hence why maybe the MC got captured at the Darkwater crossing (if chosen the vanilla start in alternate start) I have a few ideas for the story, and I wish to maybe later to immerse this mod with romance mods (example: Kaidan 2, Skyrim romance mod, Anna NPC's, etc.) So that maybe it may also not only the MC will be with someone to help her, finding her/his origins and grew closer to their followers. (I also maybe plan to make a follower that is a sibling of the MC, it is going to be a female follower) I don't know if you guys think this idea is too much?

I think it's a fine idea. The only reason I may call it 'too much' is that for a first mod it's a massive undertaking.

You'll find that you have to have variations of each quest, dialogue quest, books or anything else you include to allow the player to feel it's realistic and not way too generic. I say this because, for example, it's no good having a letter saying a hatchling (Argonian player) was found in a certain place if the player is Nord, or any race other than Argonian.

Same goes with the sibling follower (though you could get around this by having the sibling or player adopted by their parents).

the idea of being related to an emporer is a bit dodgy, Unless you can explain how an emperor could be related to any of the playable races, but then you could be messing with accepted Elder Scrolls lore.

Go ahead and try, is what I say, and I wish you well with your endeavours.

Thanks for the advice, needed other people opinions so that I can see or find a way to make it good. The part of being related to the emperor, I won't pursue it anyhow. And thank you again for your opinion, helps me to find a way to find more ideas.
