all the files are in your data folder. delete that they go away.

you don't want to delete your downloads though. keep them.

Further clarification, if you UNINSTALL a game, and there are files (Mods, etc) in any of the folders, then they won't be removed, because the Steam uninstaller only knows to remove the game files, so the uninstaller ends up leaving folders with old mods in them anyway.

That is why you MUST Delete the game folder after you uninstall the game.
Otherwise you're going to put yourself in a loop of

1. Uninstalling
2. Steam uninstaller leaving all the files you added in their folders
3. Reinstalling and finding the same problem.
4. Goto 1

Ok great thanks a lot guys, game seems to be working ok now although there's a few mods not working properly, but ill suss it out. Thanks a lot for your help and info!
