modding tools and Tutorial

Hello

 

I can not find the tools required to mod Mount and Blade Bannerlord.

 

Can anyone inform me as to what tools are needed?

 

Also a quick tutorial if available?

 

All i want to mod is the appearance of troops, such as change armor for all factions.

sure.

 

Notepad.

 

open spnpccharacters.xml , mod away.

really its that simple.
get a more advanced text editor if you want such as notepad++
then just start changing id's.

item id's you can find in spitems.xlm
use cheatmode in game if you are searching for a specific item, ctrl F in spitems.xlm search item name to find item id.

if you want to make it into a standalone submodule later there are plenty of tutorials for that.

There is a cheat mode? How do you get it? I have modded the xml files for Battanian troops, upping their skills and changing their armor, mixing in some of the Sturgian stuff (mostly helmets). I was looking to create a Norse Gael force of Viking and Celtic origin. That was easy but i had to save it to the game files instead of a proper mod as I didn't know how to go about doing that. I can't just turn off what i did...i have to reinstall or delete and patch the game files...what a pain.

Download a mod that does about the same what you are looking for and check how it is done is another option.
