Mods disappeared after restarting

Hi. So I have a problem and I've followed multiple tips from other forum posts but it still isn't resolved so I'm wondering what else I could be doing wrong?

Okay so I had the white screen issue after haven. After a lot of trial and error I bypassed it, by taking out my mods, but then when I put them back in nothing showed up. I read somewhere you need to leave at least 1 in, otherwise they won't reappear...

So, since my last savefile before that was before the main quest, I redid it this time, with about 10 mods in there and it worked and I got to skyhold and those 10 mods I had in there worked fine etc.

So I save my game, close it and put the rest of the mods back in, start it up again, load my save file and... suddenly I have no mods. Including the 10 that definitely were working before I saved and closed it.

I already changed the number in mft file in update, which did resolve another issue (it wasn't starting up), but that's about it...

Putting it one number higher doesn't do anything either.

I don't get why they were there before I restarted and now they suddenly disappeared. My mesh is set on ultra, but it's not just the hair. Also the no waiting time etc. I had quite a lot in there, I suppose. But they did work before skyhold, and before I started troubleshooting at all.

I tried googling it but I couldn't find a solution for this specific issue, only for the previous steps.

Does someone have an idea?

What mod manager are you running? You need to launch with frosty mod manager every time you wanna see mods in game, not origin, if you are using that MM.

I'm not using frosty but the other one. with .daimod files. And then merge them.

You need to remerge the mods if you haven't already, I think. And be sure that the patch number of your package.mft of your Patch_ModManagermerge is one higher than the original Patch folders package.mft file. I'm unsure if that's needed, but, by default the Patch_ModManagerMerge (folder DAIMM generates when merging mods) has it's own package.mft file which is normally a patch higher than the original games, to trick them game into thinking it's a new patch. Also be sure your settings are running at ultra if you are trying to run hair mesh mods. And if you're at the black emporium, mods don't typically show up there without an additional mod specifically made to fix that.

Ah, appears the number in my .mft files were the same. I changed it and now it works as it should! Thank you, this was really giving me a headache.
