Keeping track of installed mods

Hi, it's my first time posting on a forum so I apologize if I can't properly convey my problem :pinch: Let's say you install a mod that has a scripted installer, asking if you certain mods. You say no to all, because at that point in time you don't have any of those mods. As time passes you install one of those mods without remembering that the mod you installed a few weeks ago asked if you had that installed during its scripted installer. How will you know which of your mods are asked for in scripted installers you installed a long time ago on another mod?

If you're using a program like Mod Organizer you can easily reinstall a mod if it has multiple options. To know which plugins are installed you can look through your list. Also if you miss anything a program like LOOT can be very useful in letting you know. It doesn't "always" know, but it knows a lot.

I've heard a lot of good things about LOOT. I'm using vortex at the moment. That has its own loot tool doesn't it?

In vortex you can create notes for each mod. So, as long as you keep track of what you selected in the options for a "configurable mod" (like 3BBB for instance, where you choose various things during installation), you can add what you did to that note area. If you fail to do so, well... that's that.

ps> to access the "details" for the mod and add a note, double click anywhere on the Mod panel entry for that mod aside from the "enabled" button

Don't thank me. I wasn't aware either and read it in another post a few months ago. The credit is deserved by whomever that was (and sorry to whomever for not remembering who you are)

but yw in any case

I'll just throw in another tip. When you install mods like that which ask about support for another mod, I usually look the mods I haven't heard of up so I can decide then and there if I want it or not.
