Flower Girls SE/VR missing dialogue + CTD's

[VAULTRENEGADE]

I've encountered a strange issue with Flower Girls SE/VR where dialogue options seem to be missing from NPC's entirely, as well as occasional hard crashes when initiating scenes (the fornicate spell still works fine, however). Another strange symptom- casting the bewitch spell sometimes causes npc's to temporarily vanish, then reappear. The problem is intermittent and only started occurring recently. I could have sworn I was able to fix it a few times by running FNIS, however I can't seem to pinpoint the cause now and could use some help. On a side note, I found one user in an older thread making a blanket statement that this is caused by "corrupted saves", however that is highly unlikely in my case since:

a). I rarely use autosaves, nor do I overwrite saves
b). The problem now occurs on old saves where flower girls once worked perfectly, yet certain newer saves remain unaffected.
c). I haven't made any significant changes to my load order since starting my character

 

Please help!

 

EDIT: upon further testing, I can confirm that restarting flower girls via MCM successfully solves the issue, however, ONLY if the initialization message appears after doing so. In cases where FG fails to initialize after "restarting", the problem persists. Is it possible that something is causing some of FG's scripts to hang?
