Custom armor world model (GO) that crashes the game

So, I'm making a set of armor in 3ds max. Getting the armor into the game is the easy part; everything is working.

However, when i try to make a custom GO model, the game crashes when i drop the armor out of my inventory.

 

Is there some kind of trick or something that I'm missing? I've imported a vanilla GO model into 3ds max, exported it completely unmodified, and tested it just to see if it was 3ds max's export doing it but this seems to work just fine in game. I'm stumped as I've tried everything i can think of: I've used outfit studio to try and get a clean .nif, I've exported it as an .obj to then imported it into outfit studio just in case there was any bad mesh data, I've tried copying the blocks from my .nif to a vanilla GO .nif and saving it. Nothing seems to work.

 

I mean, it's not make or break, but i would like to create unique GOs for my armors. Any help is much appreciated!
