Premium User, Download Speed Under 2 MB/s

I recently bought a Premium membership again and I've been having incredibly slow download speeds. I had Premium some time late last year and I was consistently getting speeds of around 25–30 MB/s, which is around what I get with downloads from anywhere else. Neither my location nor my ISP have changed since then.

I occasionally get speeds around 4 MB/s for smaller files, but it seems like if the size of a file I'm downloading is over 500~ MB, my download speed never goes above 1.8 MB/s, regardless of the server I'm downloading from. I have been trying over several weeks—hoping it would improve somehow—but it has not.

Any help would be appreciated. Here are my test results:

Country: US
Internet Service Provider (ISP): Comcast
Download tests:
  • Paris: Connection timed out

  • Amsterdam: 610~ KB/s

  • Prague: 670~ KB/s

  • LA: 710~ KB/s

  • Chicago: 1700~ KB/s

  • Miami: 1040~ KB/s

  • Singapore: 240~ KB/s

Thanks for providing the information. As there seems to be a problem with your connection to all our servers. I can only conclude that there's something between your PC and our servers that has changes which may be causing the issue.

With the pandemic, we've seen ISPs switching their traffic to use "cheaper" routes which has resulted in degraded performance for their customers. It's possible that may be the case here, were the speeds better earlier in the year?

I don't recall noticing much of a change, honestly—at least not a drastic one. If I were to talk to my ISP about it, what information would I need from them?
