Spoiler

The only things I've ever seen in FO4 that relates to mods in any way are the warning about mods (even from Bethesda.net) possibly negatively impacting your game and the notification that Achievements are disabled if you're running mods. And there actually is already a mod that will re-enable Achievements.

Spoiler

I have not done a play-through on FO4 in a while but I installed a ton of MODs and they came from NEXUS using NMM. The Bethesda site was up and running at the time and I was never interested in trying it out as I had not heard many good things about it. So I'm not sure what is going on with your game. Maybe a thorough scan for malware and reinstall of Fallout might be in order.

Nice, I just started a new playthrough recently! However should I install it? Like will I get performance improvements or something?

This is great news. Fallout New Vegas is alive and well! Its Amazing that here we are 10 years later and not only is there a lot of people still playing the game but the Modding community is still pouring out MODs. More important is the high quality utilitarian stuff like this as opposed to another overpowered weapon or another nude MOD. I just downloaded this have not unpacked anything and was wondering if any of you who installed the new version did an overwrite or did you uninstall the old version first?
Edit: Can confirm that a quick and dirty install works just fine (Overwrite). The game is smoother and snappier and so far no issues.

Anything that utilizes NVSE has gotten faster, specially with script related mods.

Just tried to download it now and my computer detected a Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.D!ml virus located in the main download file. Not sure if this has been raised.

Spoiler

False Positive. The old version would trigger certain anti-virus programs too when it was first released. Anyway I scanned it myself The File is fine. I have never gotten a virus or malware from GitHub.

I play a moderately modded game and can confirm that the game does seem to run better.
