I'm completely new to the modding scene, I've used mods since the original Sims came out eons ago. While I've looked online and have tried my hand at just even trying (possibly failing) at just even turning my own dragonborn into a follower for my own new game (uses modded assets from other modders on this site), I am just having a very hard time wrapping my head around the CK and even with the tutorials online most are for the SSE edition of Skyrim and I'm running the Legacy Edition, I'm not 100% sure if the CK's are the same or different but if anyone would be willing to just let me pick their brains and just I guess dumb it down for me to wrap my head around how to do attempt this I'd be extremely grateful.

I have only been modding for SSE but here are two helpful resources that you can go to:

I would start in the CK with building a follower. The below tutorial should take 2 to 3 hours but hey then you have your own custom follower! Yay!

Once you get those you can move on to modelling and textures and animations but start here.
