mfgfix error

I was getting an error message with mfgfix, saying:

"last time you ran the game, one or more extender plugins failed to load. This normally happens when you try to load mods that are not compatible with the installed version of the script extender. to fix this problem, you can check for an update on the mod page of the failed plugin, or disable the mod until it is updated.

Error(s) reported:

- "mfgfix.dll" (manually installed>): error code 1114"

I did not install the mod manually, I used vortex download. I checked for updates, there were none. Disabling the mod did not fix the problems with all the mods in my mod manager malfunctioning. I deleted the entire game and re-downloaded. I uninstalled Vortex, and re-downloaded, but the same mods were still loaded on the fresh Vortex. I uninstalled and removed every mod in Vortex. There are no mods in the fresh game folder, or Vortex, yet the error message is still there, even though there are no mods installed on Vortex. Can somebody help me, please? I guarantee the problem is not my computer. This is a brand new Alienware laptop. I even had my computer guy install a new kick-ass hard drive. Can somebody help me, please?

Because you don't state which game you're playing, I'll assume it's one of the two skyrims. The question is, which mfg fix did you install? If you're playing SE, you need the SE version, if LE, then the LE version.

Mfg fix for SE is currently at ver 1.5.3, fwiw. I believe there are known CTD issues with vers 1.5.1 and 1.5.2

That error code comes from your SKSE log. Vortex is merely relaying it. If you uninstalled whatever mod caused the error, the message should clear the next time you run the game.
