Forbidden Legend/ Gauldur Amulet quest and quest Items not working

So I started the "Under Saarthal" quest sometime after reading the book, "Lost Legends" I did not get a quest to investigate anything and no quest started. I had honestly forgotten it was a quest book, I hadn't played for a while. Any way, I went and cleared out Saarthal and Killed the Gauldurson brother, but no amulet, rit of sealing, or anything. I then went to Geirmunds Hall, killed everything and body, found Geirmunds Epitaph, and killed the second Gauldurson brother, but no amulet or rit of sealing again. Lastly, I went to Folgunther and got to where Daynas Valen was and behold, no journal, notes, or claw, without the claw I could not lower the bridge to complete the dungeon so I saved and quit. So not only did the book "Lost Legends" not start it, killing two of the brothers, finding no rit of sealing for either, and no amulet fragments or claw or Daynas Valen notes were there. Help?? Any mods that would mess with this or why it won't work?

This is not enough information. I have never done Saarthal except as a College quest and it has never gone wrong. Folgunthur locks you out of certain areas until it is ready for you.

I've given all the possible details. What makes this unclear?? I did find the journal outside in the Tent but it did not start the quest after reading it. I cannot start it and none of the related items are spawning in to the game.

I know of nothing wrong with this quest, so you need to look at other possibilities. Sometimes quests go wrong because things are done in the wrong order. If you have not started the mage quests then you have done things in the wrong order. However, these kinds of error also appear when you are using mods that seem to be completely unrelated to your problem but are not entirely compatible with your environment (mods, computer equipment etc). Without seeing at least your mod list we cannot help with that. I abandoned two popular mods because they gave trouble with apparently unconnected areas. Also remove any mods that produce random occurrences and limit those heavy on scripts.

NVM, Thanks for the lack of help. It took me 8 hours of sifting through mods to finally figure out it was Beauty of Fps that wouldn't let me start the quest for some reason. I solved the problem.
