Invisible walls and floor for some buildings

Hi,

I am experiencing a bug in which the floor and walls of some buildings are appearing and disappearing. Any idea what mod could cause it ?

I tried disabling SavrenX Building And Interiors but didn't work.

Ok so after disabling everything and enabling the mods progressively I found out the issue comes from Fo4FI FPS Fix.

If someone knows why, I would gladly have a help, otherwise I won't bother trying to fix and will simply uninstall the mod.

Sorry for the useless topic.

Any FPS fix mod tampers with pre-combines. Pre-combines are a setting in the game's ini file that make some textures like houses one whole as opposed to using the separate objects like walls, roofs, doors, wondows, etc. Making one whole of these textures alleviates the strain on the GPU because of less objects having to be rendered. Scrap mods do the opposite and break down large objects into their smaller components so that you can selectively scrap.

The problems start when you have several mods that try to do the same thing, or when pre-culling is involved. Pre-culling is loading textures into the RAM so that they are at the ready when they need to be rendered. When scrapping items that normally can't be scrapped, the pre-culling gets screwy because the game tries to render stuff that's no longer there. Since a game doesn't load what's behind an object -to save on resources- the object that wants to get rendered will flicker in and out of view, showing a hole in the game where the scrapped object used to be because what's underneath the scrapped object is infinity.

In your case, it could be you need to sort your load order and get the FPS mod to load last or first after the esm plugs.

The mod author recommends that one load dead last, right where it is in your load order. Seems that a selection of folks have issues with that though, and experience the same thing. Are you by any chance running an AMD video card?

Yup, it's an AMD.

Thank you for the little explanation ! As @HeyYou said, the author hardly recommend to load it last and that's what I did (LOOT would place it higher though)

Might experiment with older/newer drivers for your vid card, and see if it makes any difference.

I'm experiencing bigger issues on my computer that I'm currently trying to fix because of my vid card drivers so for now I won't really look into it, but thank you for your answer. I appreciate it.
