SSE Mod Ideas

Didn't see anything for mod ideas on the forums so I created this.

 

I have no knowledge or talent when comes to modding on the CK, but have many ideas that maybe some talented modders or teams might want to take on. One in particular I would love to see being made by teams such as Haem Projects. I call it Grimhaven Castle. Its a large quest/playerhome mod, but I haven't fleshed out any major details, just a rough idea. It's largely inspired by the flying fortresses mentioned in the original Dragonlance book series and the animated Castlevania series on netflix. As the the last sentence implies, it is a flying castle. Below is the rough synopsis of the idea I had:

 

A flying castle quest/player home mod. Grimhaven Castle is in a new world space and on the scale and size of Sjel Blad castle, the dark fantasy style of Raven castle, with a dark forest and gloomy fog atmosphere. The attention to detail like in Maple manor. Magic, mythical, and mystery theme like in immersive college of Winterhold including lots of interactable objects. Some heavy daedric/vampire/werewolf themes. Powered by a system that uses dark or daedric magic to power the whole castle. Explore dozens of secret doors, passages, and rooms throughout the castle including several dungeons. Dynamic objects such as the treasure in the vault that grows as more gold in placed in it. Animated oblivion gates you build and use to travel to various daedric realms to explore and learn to harness the power of the castle’s features including the ability to fly among other cool powers.

 

Manual flight, fast travel, and cruise control to the major holds to allow players to admire the scenery as it flies through the sky. Highly customizable features such as banners, guard types, tapestry, drapes, etc. Build your own style mod, build the castle from ruins using magic to lift the rubble and various structures into place. Build up a huge walled city with a moat and drawbridges from the ground up. When it flies, the castles drops debris into a large crater it leaves behind (can land back into the crater) and newly created waterfalls cascade from the flying landmass above. New explorable area in the crater and quests delving into a mighty dungeon involving it. A large dragons perch sits on one side of the castle where dragons land next to a hatchery allowing you to capture, breed and raise dragons from hatchling to full grown elder.

 

Mythical and giant terrifying creatures roam the lands outside the city. Gargoyle statues that come to life to protect the city and castle. Some you fight when starting the quest or from exploring. A main quest about the history of this cursed land and castle and what happened; among other side quests. New followers and NPCs such as the ancient lord, Norrec Grimhaven, the name sake of the castle. With the power used to rebuild the castle unlocked, also attempt to raise the ruins of Winterhold from the ruins from the ocean floor and rebuild it into the mighty city it once was (a secret end quest story). Add patches for legacy of the dragonborn and other mods to make them compatible and interact with each other.
