Nice machine.

basically you need to reinstall the game else where.

Windows defender will do just fine and the AVAST is the cause of the software getting freezing. it watches and stops the engine cold so it can inspect the scripts running.

It's unfortunate but that 's the problem.

Use the companies uninstallers, not the windows system for Avast.

Don't forget to update the OS too and turn back on the firewall.

you select new folder and Name the games folder OR any any name you wish. It's not really that hard to Slow down and look.

Thanks, I built it myself a couple years ago. I'm running an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 for the graphics card.

 

I'm going to have to create a new partition to do that. I'll tackle that tomorrow. Once I do that, i'll get back to you.

You need to limit your CPU to using only 2 cores.

 

This is done by editing the fallout.ini, the one in My Documents/My games, by changing bUseThreadedAI=1 and adding iNumHWThreads=2.

 

Also, using Vortex with LOOT sorting your load order will not provide a playable game. LOOT has never sorted Fallout3 mods correctly.

 

With only a few mods, it will work. However, as you continue to add mods and add compatibility patches, the game will become unplayable.
