VulcanTourist Posted July 6, 2020 Share Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) Does anyone know of a mod that improves or streamlines the smelting UI, specifically one that adds the ability to smelt all of a type of ore in a single click? I have a mod - Better Container Controls - that alters the inventories UI such that a right-click will transfer all of an item; I am hoping to find a mod that does the same for the smelting UI. Melt Down Everythinghttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19279I already have a mod that duplicates the smelt-everything function (though I can't even tell you what it is), so all I need is just that little tweak to the UI behavior to have everything I need. It seems like such an obvious shortcoming... somebody else must have been annoyed enough to correct it with a mod! Careful searches haven't identified it yet. Addendum: I found several LE mods - never ported to SE - that solved the problem by simply adding alternative recipes for higher quantities. One of them targeted tanning racks, which I hadn't even considered but it makes sense. I am in the process of modifying and porting them for my own use; the permissions won't allow me to do anything else without direct contact with the authors, which is unlikely. I don't have Creation Kit, but I presume that would be required if I wanted to reinvent and publish similar mods for SE? I would be inclined to develop the concept much further and include an MCM interface to make everything configurable before I would consider it ready to share. Ore seems to have only fixed conversion ratios, and you can only melt one type at a time.Thanks to the LE mod, I was able to create an acceptable short-term solution by porting it to SE and tweaking its recipes to better suit me. I would have done more, but apparently adding records requires the Creation Kit. That is a project for later.
